I was "caught" by Zaid in March of 2021. He lured me to the forest pretending to be someone in my meetup group for either autism or father's rights (can't recall now) name Josh, who told me he was a former marine who lived in San Diego. This is not far from where Zaid lives. I don't know why Zaid traveled to Virginia to come after me -- maybe he has relatives here, maybe he thought I should be in prison, though I was out of jail appealing the wrongful conviction -- hard to believe I was a high value target to him. But his texts representing me supposedly on Snapchat are faked, but the pics were those he apparently gleaned from social media.  In his HEAVILY EDITED 'catcher' video, he edits out being frightened when I demanded he identify himself and stop filming, that he was shaking like a leaf when I rushed him, and he edited out the second guy on his time who rushed out of nowhere to defend him and grab me. He edited out my demand that he tell me who he was, that I denied sending anything, and that I asked him to  come with me to the police station. Most importantly, he edited out (and I forgot to put into my video response) that he insisted he 'could make it all go away' implying strongly (I believe, don't know) that I could pay him! Others after me have made the same claim.  The video was so heavily edited the prosecution refused to enter it into evidence, and my attorney was confident he could keep the written "evidence" also out. The judge dismissed the case -- considered a probation violation as well as a new charge -- after the DA dropped it, and eventually, so did the state police. Zaid cost me more damage to my reputation, $500 out-of-pocket to leave jail once more, and more abuse than I can count. Read about it on ICAC-UNPACKED on YT - my five part (six with yesterday's epilogue) series.
